Back in elementary school, I would hide my fishing pole in a gutter and fish a hidden creek behind the building on my way home. Most kids were worried about catching afternoon cartoons—I was worried about whether the fish were biting.
Fast forward 20 years, and I’m still wandering through the woods in search of the next great fishing spot—only now, we’re chasing bigger fish.
There's just something about it—the feeling that every step, every cast, and every bit of suffering from a long day pays off when that one big fish finally bites.
A few years ago, what started as taking my dog, Nala, along on fishing trips turned into a personal challenge to catch a fish every single day. Before long, I was completely hooked and fishing was all that I could think about.
Now, Nala joins me on just about every adventure. Whether we're fishing neighborhood ponds, heading to the beach, or exploring somewhere new, she's always ready to walk on to the next spot.
Somethin' Fishy TV is really just a record of all those adventures. The big fish, the lost fish, the sketchy spots, the good laughs, and the memories made along the way.
